NEW DELHI: Although he has "dropped a lot" in the past year, defending champion Ding Liren concedes that his Indian opponent D Gukesh is the clear favorite to win their much-awaited global chess title match in November.

The Indian team has been winning five straight games in the 45th Chess Olympiad in Budapest, where the two are now competing.
