Cheryl has given a rare insight into what her son, Bear, is really like as she also gave her thoughts on the possibility of having another child. The former Girls Aloud star shares her five-year-old son with ex-boyfriend and former One Direction star, Liam Payne.
While she said back in 2020 that she would consider using a sperm donor to have a second child following her split from singer Liam, 29, in 2018 shortly after the birth of their son in March 2017, Cheryl appears to have had a slight change of heart since the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to the Daily Mail Cheryl, who has made her West End debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story following in the footsteps of Laura Whitmore and Giovanna Fletcher, said: 'I was so hell bent on having another before because Bear was at that perfect age.
"I think if you have that couple year age gap, you can still do things with them together where they're both engaged and both interested. Now that the pandemic happened in the in the meantime, and there's such an age gap, and I'm a bit older. I'm not so sure, honestly."
But while she hasn't suggested she is in a relationship right now, she has thought about other options. "Maybe adoption. I just love babies and children and I'd do anything to help or have another one around but it's not as prevalent anymore," she added to the publication.
"Also in the process of the pandemic I looked around at the world and thought this world is a bit crazy. Is it a sensible idea to bring a soul into all into this madness?"
Cheryl, 39, did also make some rare comments about her son after sending fans wild with a rare photo of the youngster before Christmas. The singer and former X Factor judge, who keeps her family out of the spotlight, described Bear as 'headstrong' as she discussed celebrating his upcoming sixth birthday.
Speaking of their plans for the day, she revealed "I'm gonna spend it with him and he is very headstrong so he will let me know what we're going to be doing. So we'll have to see what he's got on the cards for that. I'm sure it's something that will cost me a lot of money, whatever it is!"
In an Instagram post before Christmas, Cheryl could be seen holding onto Bear's hand as they had their backs to the camera, as Cheryl guards her son's privacy and only shares photos and videos which don't show his face, while making a visit to Lapland UK. And the mum-of-one was clearly feeling the Christmas spirit as she donned a red coat and fluffy hat with reindeer antlers.
Cheryl took to Instagram to post the compilation video of her trip, which she took with Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh, her partner and their young children, writing to her millions of followers: "Thank you for the Christmas magic @laplanduk Wishing you all the warmest wishes for Christmas."
And her loyal fans were quick to comment and gush over the adorable memories the mother and son made alongside Kimberley and her family while others were stunned by the change they'd seen in Bear. @cheryldaily said: "MAGICAL. Have the best Christmas Cheryl and Bear." @margos54 commented: "Merry Christmas Cheryl and Bear Cannot believe how tall Bear is." @kayls97xo echoed: "Omg I can't believe how tall bear is getting. Hope you both have a magical Christmas."
