Chennai: Out of job, techie leaps to death from 24th floor flat

Police Suicide Pandemic

CHENNAI: A 35-year-old software engineer who lost her job during the Covid-19 pandemic allegedly jumped to her death from the window of her 24th floor flat in Kelambakkam on Saturday, police said. W Jenifer didn't leave any suicide note.

She searched for a new job but did not get one. Around 3 am on Saturday, Jenifer jumped from her bedroom window, police said. Security guards found Jenifer lying in a pool of blood. Police have registered a case.
