Hakim Ziyech has been denied a loan move to PSG and he will stay at Chelsea for the remainder of the season. The Morocco international was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge over the past month, with a deal seeming likely on deadline day.
The French giants were said to be willing to take on Ziyech, who would take a slight financial hit to make the loan move for the rest of the season. However, the move collapsed as reports claimed that the wrong paperwork had been filed, the contracts were beyond the deadline as well as potential tech related issues standing in the way.
Given how things panned out, PSG made an appeal to the LFP (the French football league governing body) to see if they could get the decision ruled in favour of a loan. There was little hope for a successful decision, which ended up being the case the morning after as it was rejected.

It means Ziyech is now set to complete the rest of the season with Chelsea, leaving him in potential limbo after an influx of new signings. That's not to say there isn't the possibility of him breaking into the team, despite having a difficult time of doing so since joining.
A recent run of form has seen the 29-year-old show glimpses of his ability that saw him reach the top, helping guide Morocco to a fourth-placed finish in the 2022 World Cup. A few games for Chelsea after also showed some of his best, suggesting there could be more to come.
"We know his qualities and we like him as a player," Graham Potter said on Ziyech. "At Chelsea there are always good players that aren't in the starting XI. [I am] Delighted for him to get the game time and help [Morocco]. I kept in touch with him throughout the World Cup."
It remains to be seen exactly what the future has in store for Ziyech, but with squad harmony being crucial in the latter stages, getting him over the disappointment of missing the PSG move is important.
