Chelsea were handed a galling derby defeat as Tottenham ran out 2-0 victors at Stamford Bridge, where they had previously won once in 36 years.
The Blues held their own into the second half in the face of a confident, much improved Tottenham, but the match unravelled with a quarter of an hour to play as Mike Penders, making his full Premier League debut with Emi Martinez injured, punched the ball into his own net.
