Borussia Dortmund fans are world famous for their displays before big matches - and Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was pictured taking in the sights of a 'tifo' before his side's Champions League game at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday.
The 'Yellow Wall' as it is known is a stand behind one of the goals at Dortmund's ground and is home to some of German football's most ardent fans. Boehly is in attendance for his side's Champions League round of 16 first leg tie with Dortmund, the first European knockout game of his tenure since the American purchased Chelsea from Roman Abramovich with his Clearlake Capital consortium last year.
Television cameras snapped Boehly taking a video of the Yellow Wall shortly before kick-off, taking in the sights and sounds of a famous ground. "He knows what a good atmosphere is," one Chelsea supporter wrote on social media while another said: "Signal Iduna Park is one of those football temples to which you have to make a pilgrimage once in your life."
"We're getting a Blue Wall in the Stamford Bridge redevelopment," another Chelsea fan added. At the time of writing, Chelsea are drawing 0-0 with Dortmund after boss Graham Potter decided to bench Mason Mount and give Ben Chilwell his first start of 2023.
Potter's Chelsea have struggled in the Premier League this season and are in tenth place, with the head coach aware that his players will need time to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge. "It's a squad that we're really excited about but at the same time, we know there are challenges and work we have to do," he said.
"Whenever you're forming a new group, if all of us started to work together, we'd have to take some time, understand what makes us tick, understand how we can help each other."
