Richarlison transfer blow
Chelsea failed in a late bid to beat Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Everton forward Richarlison.
Richarlison is set to seal his £60m switch as Antonio Conte looks to add quality to his attacking line ahead of their Champions League campaign next season. But it appears Chelsea were interested as well with new owner Todd Boehly keen to bring in at least one marquee signing to mark the beginning of a new era at Stamford Bridge.
But that player won't be Richarlison after Chelsea's late bid to beat Spurs to his signature was knocked back.
Juve want De Ligt swap
Juventus reportedly want to include Christian Pulisic in an agreement which would see Matthijs de Ligt join Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel is thgouht to see De Ligt as a 'key' signing this summer as he looks to strengthen a defence that has been torn apart by the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer. The Blues had discussed including Timo Werner in a player-plus-cash deal for the Dutch defender, although Juve reportedly want Pulisic to be included instead.
It appears Chelsea must now decide if they are happy to part ways with the American following his struggles to make himself a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have Raphinha advantage
Leeds United winger Raphinha's comments suggest the winger may be a perfect fit in Thomas Tuchel's tactical set-up.
The Brazilian is set to leave the Elland Road outfit this summer with Chelsea facing competition for his signature from Barcelona and Arsenal. While he is bound to add an attacking threat to whichever side he joins, Raphinha has previously said he relishes the defensive side of the game as well.
And the comments suggest he could slot seamlessly into Tuchel's side.
