Chelsea could 'accelerate' move to sign Trossard
Chelsea have taken a huge step towards signing Leandro Trossard in the January transfer window. The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Blues since his former boss swapped the Amex Stadium for Stamford Bridge.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, as quoted by The Express, the west Londoners could accelerate a move to bring the winger to Stamford Bridge after keeping a close eye on him in recent weeks. Trossard has featured 12 times for the Seagulls in the Premier League this season, directly contributing towards nine goals.
Ironically, one of which came against Chelsea at the weekend as Roberto De Zerbi's side trounced the Blues 4-1 at the Amex Stadium. Tavolieri adds that Trossard impressed higher-ups during the Seagulls' win over Chelsea, and because of this, they could be tempted to sign him earlier than first planned.

United join Chelsea in Martinez transfer race
Chelsea have been handed a major blow to their hopes of signing Lautaro Martinez in the January transfer window. The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from Inter Milan for some time now, but a move has never materialised.
According to Football365, as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have locked horns with the Blues over the signing of the striker. The report states that both Erik ten Hag and Graham Potter are considering moves for the Argentina international as they look to strengthen their frontlines.
Martinez, who sees his contract at the San Siro expire in 2026, has featured 12 times for Simone Inzaghi's side in the Serie A this season, directly contributing towards six goals. Despite having led the Italian giants to a title charge last term, the Argentine's impressive displays are yet to translate into points on the board, with the Nerazzurri currently sitting fifth.
Brighton fans branded a disgrace
Brighton supporters have been branded a 'disgrace' for booing Graham Potter upon his return to the Amex Stadium. The 47-year-old replaced Thomas Tuchel in the dugout following the Blues' defeat in the Champions League group stage opener against Dinamo Zagreb.
Potter, who penned a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge, asked fans for forgiveness upon his unveiling as the west Londoners' new head coach. Despite his heartfelt apology, a large selection of Brighton fans still feel resentment towards their former boss - the brains behind the club's most successful period in history.
As he stepped off the Chelsea team coach upon his arrival at the Amex Stadium, Potter was met with some heckling and a handful of pantomime boos. Inside the ground, Brighton fans continued to boo the newly appointed Blues boss, and they've been labelled a 'disgrace' for doing so.
Speaking on talkSPORT's Breakfast Show on Monday, October 31, Jamie O'Hara revealed his astonishment at the disrespect Potter was shown by the Seagulls faithful. The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder said: "I think it's a disgrace.
"It's fickle football fans, isn't it. He went there when they were fourth from bottom. He's changed the fortunes of the club. He's given the club a philosophy, an identity."
