Here is your Chelsea morning digest on Sunday, April 24.

Saul Niguez in line for Atleti return

Chelsea appear unlikely to be able to call upon the services of Saul Niguez this season, with the on-loan Spanish midfielder set to return to his homeland next season. Having joined from Atletico Madrid last summer, he has not managed to establish himself in the Blues’ side having made just four Premier League starts throughout the current campaign.

Now, according to Marca, he is set to return to the Wanda Metropolitano despite Chelsea retaining an option to buy come the conclusion of his loan. It is suggested that only an extraordinary turn of events at Stamford Bridge would see him remain as part of Thomas Tuchel ’s squad.

One of those potentially interested was AC Milan but reports have now suggested that the Serie A giants are not going to pursue the Chelsea frontman as they are edging towards an agreement for Liverpool forward Divock Origi.
