Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has come in for fierce criticism as the Blues prepare to travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Pulisic has struggled to stamp his mark on the Chelsea team since he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. He has kept his place in the USA national team despite that though, but has now been slammed by one former American international.
That criticism comes as Chelsea owner Todd Boehly prepares to launch a bid for Jude Bellingham and Graham Potter was blasted by former Blues star William Gallas. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Chelsea news.
Pulisic hit by scathing verdict
Christian Pulisic's season continues to go from bad to worse, having played for the USA as they were held to a disappointing goalless draw by Saudi Arabia. Following that result, Pulisic has come in for particularly heavy criticism.
The winger has frequently been branded 'Captain America' as he stakes his claim to be the most recognisable player from his country. But former USA international Brian Dunseth does not believe the hype around the 24-year-old.
"You can't trust Pulisic. As much as you want to believe in Pulisic, as much as he's been hyped to be the everything that everybody thinks he can be or wants him to be, the reality is he's not," Dunseth told his SiriusXM podcast.

Blues launch Bellingham bid
Jude Bellingham is set to be the most in-demand player on the market in the summer transfer window. Liverpool and Real Madrid are currently thought to be the two frontrunners to sign the midfielder.
But Chelsea are now lining up their own move for the Borussia Dortmund star, hoping to hijack the Reds and Los Blancos. Blues owner Todd Boehly is thought to be particularly keen to bring the England international to Stamford Bridge.
It is thought they have now started to approach Bellingham's agent to get their move underway. They may face a tough battle given the headstart Liverpool and Madrid have such a headstart, though are not thought to be concerned.
Gallas slams Potter decisions
Former Chelsea star William Gallas has slammed Chelsea boss Graham Potter for his selection decisions. Potter selected star summer signing Raheem Sterling at left wing-back for the draw with Red Bull Salzburg, moving Marc Cucurella to centre-back.
And Gallas, who won the Premier League title twice during his spell at the Blues, has now blasted Potter. The Frenchman was left confused by the Chelsea manager's decision-making for the game.
“You are playing at home and you put Cucurella as a centre-back, you have Fofana on the bench with Koulibaly, Chalobah on the bench, and you put Sterling as a left-wing back? I don't understand," he said.
