Thomas Tuchel has explained why Chelsea opted to sell Billy Gilmour to Brighton and replace the youngster with loanee Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Blues accepted a £9million offer for Gilmour on deadline day, with a sizeable chunk of the fee owed to his academy club Rangers.
