Liam Rosenior has revealed that he is still living out of a hotel room almost three weeks after beginning his post as Chelsea head coach.

The former Strasbourg boss took over from Enzo Maresca on January 6, 18 days ago, and dove headlong into a hectic fixture schedule. He faced Charlton in the FA Cup just two days after taking charge of his first training session, and has managed three matches in the 14 days since.

He has now revealed that he is yet to find the time to move into a permanent home and has been living out of a hotel along with his backroom staff.

Reflecting on his chaotic start to life at Chelsea, he told Sky Sports: “I haven’t even looked at a house, I’m in a hotel!

“I’m in a hotel with Kalifa (Cisse), Justin (Walker), and Ben (Warner), getting UberEats at times rather than the hotel food, and just watching football and enjoying and sleeping, making sure we manage our energy.”

Rosenior insists, however, that his living arrangements will not limit him in his work, arguing that his enthusiasm for the sport is enough to keep him going.

He continued: “I’m lucky because the job that I do is my passion. I think if you enjoy what you do, you don’t burn out.

“I’m still young enough to do it this way. I’m enjoying this, I’m enjoying being in, I’m enjoying working with the players every day, I’m enjoying analysing the opposition, or our training.

“I don’t feel any closer to burning out than when I started.”

Rosenior will return to the dugout on Sunday as Chelsea visit Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
