Chelsea injury news and expected return dates vs Wolves: Christensen, Barkley, Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea's poor form continued on Sunday with a 1-0 defeat to Everton. Alhough there weren't many positives to take from the defeat, the Blues didn't pick up any new injuries heading into next Saturday's visit of Wolves. Though no one was hurt at Goodison Park, there were still a number of players who failed to return to the matchday squad and manager Thomas Tuchel will be keen to get them back as soon as possible.

With just four games left until the end of the season, Tuchel will want as many players back as they look to not only qualify for the UEFA Champions League via a top-four finish but win the FA Cup final against Liverpool. With that in mind, football.london takes a look at the latest injury news from Cobham.

Andreas Christensen

The out-of-contract defender was expected back for Sunday's loss to Everton. Andreas Christensen missed his third game in the row after sitting out the West Ham fixture due to stomach cramps and then the Manchester United draw.

Thomas Tuchel said prior to the game against the Toffees that Christensen had returned to training and could be available but it was not to be. With six clear days between the Everton game and the Wolves match, Christensen is likely to play some part.

Expected return date: Wolves (H) -Saturday, May 7

Ross Barkley

Midfielder Ross Barkley was another one who was expected to make the trip to Goodison Park. The former Everton player also missed the Manchester United draw due to illness but returned to training days before Sunday's fixture. Due to the short turnaround between the two games, Barkley failed to make the matchday squad on Sunday but like Christensen, the week's break between fixtures should give him more than enough time to return.

Expected return date: Wolves (H) -Saturday, May 7

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Callum Hudson-Odoi is no nearer a return to the Chelsea first-team. The talented winger hasn't featured since the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in January and though he was set to return a few weeks back, suffered a setback which Tuchel saying at the time: “Doesn’t look so good at the moment. It’s not a matter of days at the moment, it’s a matter of weeks. It’s a setback."

However, there is still hope he could return for the FA Cup final against Liverpool in two weeks.

Expected return date: Liverpool (N) - Saturday, May 14
