Chelsea eye Enzo Fernandez replacement as Argentine edges nearer to Man City move

  • Manchester City have entered talks with Chelsea over a deal for Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
  • However, Chelsea want to line up a replacement on transfer deadline day before allowing Fernandez to move to City.
  • Chelsea have been linked with Monaco’s Lamine Camara, Roma’s Manu Kone and Bournemouth star Alex Scott as they consider a late swoop for a midfielder.
  • According to Fabrizio Romano , Chelsea have made contact with Monaco and submitted a €45m bid for the central midfielder.
  • If they got a positive response from the Ligue 1 club, this could open the door for Fernandez to finally secure his switch to City.
