Midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi and Finland youth international Jimi Tauriainen will both leave when their contracts expire on June 30.

Rak-Sakyi made four appearances for Chelsea at senior level — all of them coming in the Blues’ triumphant Conference League campaign in 2024-25.

Tauriainen represented the Blues twice in the 2023-24 season, including one substitute appearance in a 2-0 Premier League win over London rivals Tottenham.

Both have now been informed that they will be released on June 30, as have fellow youth players Richard Olise and Brodi Hughes. Olise - brother of Bayern Munich and France forward Michael - signed for Chelsea as an Under-9, while Hughes joined as an Under-8.

Chelsea have also confirmed that 21-year-old striker Ronnie Stutter will move to a month-to-month contract with the club.

A statement on Chelsea’s official channels said: “We thank all our departing players for their contributions during their time with the Blues and wish them well for the next chapter in their careers.”

It is expected to busy a busy summer of arrivals and departures at Stamford Bridge, who are gearing up for their first pre-season campaign and first season under new manager Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard officially begins work at the club on July 1.

Alonso is in regular communication with Chelsea’s five-strong team of sporting directors as potential transfers are discussed.
