A violent Iowa fugitive cooked up a new life as a San Diego chef, even appearing on local TV under an alias, until his nearly 14-year run ended this week.

Brian Anthony Williams, 50, was arrested without incident Tuesday at a business in San Diego’s Mission Beach neighborhood, where authorities say he had been living as “Troy Williams” and working as a chef at a local Caribbean restaurant, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
