Steve Clarke this afternoon batted away a quip branding England as underdogs ahead of the clash against Scotland at Hampden.
The Hampden boss has his side flying ahead of the match to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Scottish game.
Victory over Cyprus last week kept Scotland top of Group A in Euro 2024 qualifying with the potential for a spot at the tournament finals to be sealed on Tuesday.
Clarke's side have won all five qualifying matches so far in the group with Spain second on six points after three matches.
Should Norway and Georgia draw on Tuesday - and Spain beat Cyprus - then Scotland will have secured progression to the finals of the Euros in Germany next year.
However, the focus for Clarke will be on the friendly fixture against England going on at the same time.
And ahead of the match BBC reporter Kheredine Idessane joked over Scotland's position heading into the match as he handed England an underdog role.
In a playful question to the Scotland boss, he said: "Sometimes in these kind of prestigious occasions when you've got a smaller team against the bigger team, they can get a little bit overwhelmed.
"Do you think England will cope OK with their status as underdogs?"
The smiling Scotland boss, diplomatically, replied: "No comment".
A Scotland national team media team member then joked: "Can someone take the mic off Kheredine?"
