Aldi has been named the cheapest supermarket in the UK for the second month running.
Consumer champion Which? compared the price of 47 popular grocery items as part of its monthly price comparison of the big supermarkets.
Aldi came out cheapest, costing £74.23 on average and beating rival Lidl by £1.38.
It is the second month Aldi has been crowned the best value grocer, having been named cheapest in June as well by Which?.
Lidl was the second cheapest supermarket in July, costing £75.61 on average, with Asda in third place (£83.22) and Sainsbury’s (£86.27) in fourth.

The UK’s biggest supermarket Tesco was in fifth place, costing £86.77 on average.
Morrisons (£91.14) came sixth, followed by Ocado (£95.33) and Waitrose (£99.46) was in last place.
The results mean Aldi was £25.23 cheaper than the most expensive, Waitrose.
Which? also compared the cost of a larger trolley of 152 items - the original 47 plus 105 more - at all the big supermarkets, excluding Aldi and Lidl.
Aldi and Lidl are never included in the larger shop comparison, as many brands can’t be found at the discounters.
Asda was crowned the cheapest of the larger shop, where it cost £331.81 on average - beating runner up Morrisons (£350.69) by £18.88.
In third place was Sainsbury’s (£351.08) with Tesco in fourth (£356.51) and Ocado (£372.24) in fifth.
Waitrose was also named the most expensive supermarket in the larger shop comparison, costing £381.35 on average.
The latest Which? supermarket comparison comes as the cost of living crisis continues to put pressure on households.
Supermarket inflation rose by almost 10% last month, pushing up the prices of the average weekly food shop.
Energy bills are also rocketing at an unprecedented rate - with experts predicting another steep rise in October when the Ofgem price cap could hit £3,600 in the winter.
Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi, said: “We know that across the nation many families are finding things tough due to the cost of living crisis.
“At Aldi, we’re determined to help by keeping costs low and quality high for our customers. We’re thrilled to yet again be named the UK’s cheapest supermarket.”
