Drivers in the UK say they are still waiting for a fuel cut as their local petrol stations appear not to have reduced prices in line with Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s announcement. Mr Sunak said fuel duty would be reduced by 5p per litre from 6pm on Wednesday, however, some customers reported fuel prices rising instead of dropping.
Many Bristolians have said that not only have their local petrol stations not reduced their prices in line with the 5p fuel duty cut, but that prices have continued to increase. Some have taken to social media to express their frustrations.
The AA president has warned that retailers must pass the benefit on to customers, fearing that the cut will be "lost". The government is scrambling to bring down prices, but in the meanwhile, we've taken a look at the cheapest petrol stations in and around Bristol.

With the public continuing to feel the pinch at the pumps, despite the measures announced in the Chancellor's Spring Statement on Wednesday, AA president Edmund King said: “The AA welcomes the cut in fuel duty. However, we are concerned that the benefit will be lost unless retailers pass it on and reflect a fair price at the pumps.
“The Chancellor has ridden to the rescue of UK families and businesses who use their vehicles, not for pleasure, but to function in their daily lives. Since the start of the year, the 20p-a-litre surge in pump prices has been the shock that rocked the finances of families, and particularly young drivers, pensioners and lower-income workers who need to commute each day.”
