Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from 2019, will be officially released worldwide on Friday, October 28, 2022. But, players who pre-order the game will get early access to the game's single-player campaign from Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10:00 AM PT or 18:00 BST in the UK.
Players will then be able to access the full game, including multiplayer, from October 28, with Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 along with a brand new DMZ mode set to be released on November 16, 2022.
It has been confirmed that the Modern Warfare 2 campaign will be an indirect continuation of the Modern Warfare story from 2019, with players set to experience being part of the new Task Force 141. Ahead of the launch of the new Call of Duty title, UK retailer Currys are offering 15% off pre-orders on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 priced at £64.99 at Currys, if you use the code COD15 at checkout, you will get 15% off your purchase, getting you the new game for a price of £55.24, one of the cheapest ways of pre-ordering the game.

Activision and Infinity Ward say that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 single-player campaign will feature numerous levels including offshore sieges, underwater combat, all-out explosive assaults, low-profile stealth missions and much more. The campaign will also feature iconic squadmates including John Price, Kyle 'Gaz' Carrick, Simon 'Ghost' Riley and John 'Soap' MacTavish.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled for release on PlayStation® 5, PlayStation® 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC Battle.net, and PC Steam on Friday, October 28, 2022. Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is scheduled for release later this year on the same platforms.
