Charlotte Church has been in the public eye since she was just 11 years old, and has carved out a hugely successful career.
She’s sold more than 10 million records worldwide after shooting to fame in 1997, when she sang Pie Jesu over the phone on This Morning, stunning viewers.
Charlotte then appeared on ITV ’s Big, Big Talent Show, hosted by Jonathan Ross, and it wasn’t long before she became one of the most successful young classical singers.
Dubbed the ‘Voice of an Angel’, she sang in several languages - including Latin and French - and even managed to crack the States with her debut album.
But it was her love life that hit the headlines, and as she got older, Charlotte's relationships were under the spotlight.
Her first boyfriend was Steve Johnson, and she dated the model and music from 2002 until 2003, as he claimed her mother Maria put an end to their budding relationship.
Charlotte then began dating Kyle Johnson, and after their 18-month romance came to an end, he sold details of their sex life to a Sunday paper.
He was jailed for 12 years in 2009 for possessing almost £10 million worth of heroin, after he pleaded guilty to the charge.
Charlotte had already moved on by the time her ex was jailed, and started seeing Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson in 2005.
Seen as the new Posh and Becks, the high-profile couple welcomed daughter Ruby in 2007, and in 2009, Charlotte gave birth to their son, Dexter.
Gavin popped the question in 2010, after hiring a helicopter and flying Charlotte to Cornwall, where he got down on one knee with a heart-shaped diamond ring.
The singer said she was “absolutely joyous” with their engagement, but just six weeks later, it was confirmed in a statement that the couple had sadly split.
“Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson have confirmed reports of their separation and would like to stress that no third party was involved,” it read.
“They are trying their hardest to deal with this difficult time for both of them in a way which will minimise the impact on their two young children. They fully intend to work together and cooperate in ensuring there is as little disruption as possible to the children's lives.”
She later confessed that Gavin’s time away from his family while filming the reality show 71 Degrees North gave her time to think, and she realised she wasn’t ready to get married.
“He came back from Norway and he’d changed and I’d had time to think. We had both had a change of heart – so we were both of the same mind,” she told Marie Claire.
Charlotte began dating Jonathan Powell just months after her split from Gavin, but she insisted that they had known each for a while as they wrote songs together.
She said the rugby player had given his permission for her to start dating the singer/songwriter, and Charlotte and Gavin tied the knot in 2017.
“Well, I’m really happy with my dude. He’s lush, he’s so smart, and he really looks after me,” she told The Telegraph.
The couple are also parents to daughter Frida, who Charlotte gave birth to in 2020, and the family live in Dinas Powys, Wales', with her children from her relationship with Gavin, Ruby and Dexter.
