With Arsenal not in action over the weekend it was an opportunity for members of this season's loan army to take centre stage.
And it's safe to say Arthur Okonkwo, in particular, grabbed the chance with both hands as he kept a clean sheet for Sturm Graz against Rapid Wien in the Austrian Cup final on Sunday, marking his first piece of silverware with the club after joining in the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, Pablo Mari's £5.9million move to Monza is now complete. As reported by football.london, the Gunners were due to receive this windfall but only on the condition that the Serie A side managed to secure their status in the top-flight of Italian football for a second season.

Thanks to a 2-0 win over Spezia on Friday night and other results going their way, Raffaele Palladino's side have guaranteed survival. This has also been made possible when taking in the fact that all three of Leece, Spezia and Verona can't finish above Monza in the table due to upcoming fixtures taking place between them.
Now for one reason or another none of Nicolas Pepe, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Cedric Soares, Marcelo Flores, Tyreece John-Jules, Mika Biereth, Nikolaj Moller, Ryan Alebiosu, Miguel Azeez, Alex Kirk, Mazeed Ogungbo, Taylor Foran, Kido Taylor-Hart or Billy Vigar featured in a competitive fixture for their respective clubs over the weekend.
However, Ainsley Maitland-Niles made a substitute appearance for Southampton in their 3-1 loss against Newcastle United. In the Championship, Brooke Norton-Cuffy's Coventry City boosted their chances of promotion by beating Auston Trusty's Birmingham City and in the league below, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji made a substitute appearance as Accrington Stanley at home to Cambridge United.
Tom Smith tasted defeat for the first time as a Colchester United player away at Doncaster Rovers but Tim Akinola came off the bench as Chesterfield beat Maidstone United 4-0 to seal third place on the final day of the National League season and set up a play-off semi-final against either Woking or Boreham Wood on Sunday.
Meanwhile, across Europe, Runar Alex Runarsson and Ovie Ejeheri recorded clean sheets for Alanyaspor and SJK respectively, Nuno Tavares returned to action for Marseille but it's now three games without a goal for Folarin Balogun as Reims were beaten 1-0 by Clermont Foot.
With that in mind, below football.london rounds up the big headlines regarding the remaining Arsenal loanees from the weekend.
Relegation confirmed and Patino sale
It turned out to be a heartbreaking weekend for Blackpool and Wigan Athletic with both sides relegated from the Championship. Charlie Patino played the full 90 minutes for the former in their 3-2 loss against Millwall on Friday night, whilst Omar Rekik was an unused substitute as the latter drew 1-1 with Reading.
What the future holds for Rekik remains to be seen but it's been revealed by The Athletic that Patino is to leave Arsenal permanently this summer as he seeks regular first-team football for next season. Furthermore, the report states that the Gunners are receptive and ready to help facilitate a move as interest builds from the UK and abroad.
Marquinhos criticised
Marquinhos had an impressive debut in Norwich City colours against Cardiff City - 25 days after completing his move to Norfolk - where he claimed the assist for Gabriel Sara to break the deadlock before getting on the scoresheet himself in a stunning four-minute period towards the end of the first half.
However, he's not quite pushed on from there and it's safe to say following the 2-1 loss against West Brom on Saturday that some supporters haven't been too impressed with Brazilian.
On Twitter, @cheltcanary said: "I wouldn’t be upset if I never saw Marquinhos in a Norwich shirt again!" and @georgiebless said: "Marquinhos must be one of the worst players I've ever seen play for Norwich."
