Steven Davis played a part in helping young Rangers star Charlie McCann switch from the Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland.

International captain Davis and national team manager Ian Baraclough made personal pitches to the 19-year-old who has pledged his football future to the Irish FA.

McCann - who has played for the Republic at underage level - qualifies for Northern Ireland through his parents and Baraclough and his coach Jimmy Nicholl both recently met McCann in Scotland.
