A viral social media post has drawn attention to her latest remarks, in which she questions why the recording surfaced after Robinson became a suspect. Her comments followed YouTuber Zach Costello's observation about Robinson's body language in the video.

Candace Owens questions Tyler Robinson’s 2022 crash footage
Owens said Costello's analysis prompted her to look beyond the similarities in Robinson's movements and question how the footage reached the public. She suggested that its timing deserved scrutiny, although she did not provide evidence of a coordinated effort to release it.
"Moving on from that, I have a random bee in my bonnet today. I need your help, internet. It's bothering me tremendously.
I can't let it go suddenly. Actually, credit to YouTuber Zach Costello for putting this bee in my bonnet, even though he didn't mean to. Basically, what happened was he was looking at the footage that we released of Tyler Robinson, in the American shirt, walking onto UVU campus.
He was addressing how he had his fingers in his pockets and the way that he was particularly holding his fingers in his pockets. In Zach Costello's mind, he said, that's super interesting because that makes me think of that 2022 arrest of Tyler Robinson. He also had his fingers in the pocket that way.
But of course, my crazy brain, instead of hearing what Zach Costello is saying, which is like, this could be Tyler Robinson, I went, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a second. Why the heck did we ever see that footage? Let me back this up for you.
The footage itself is now exceedingly problematic. Why and who collected and stored this footage? We can now watch a little clip of it, just so you can see what we're referring to, because I don't think we actually ever talked about it on this show."
