Charges dropped in theft of Steelers QB Kenny Pickett’s SUV, playbook

One of the funniest things to come out of Pittsburgh Steelers camp happened in May when 60-year-old Christopher Carter took Kenny Pickett’s SUV from a dealership with Matt Canada‘s playbook in the backseat.

On Monday, charges against Carter were dismissed, and Carter agreed to pay $3,000 in restitution.

According to Renatta Signorini of the Monroeville Times Express, Pickett was doing some advertising work at Bowser Chevrolet in Monroeville when his 2023 Hyundai Genesis was stolen. Carter also was at the dealership for about two hours and left his own vehicle there.

After viewing surveillance video, police arrested Carter. Pickett’s vehicle had minor damage, according to court papers. His playbook was intact and returned.

It’s a good thing because how would Pickett ever run the offense without it?
