Blink Twice actor and my She’s The Man awakening Channing Tatum has dropped a huge truth bomb that made my bank account scream into the abyss.
I don’t know about the rest of y’all but when I think about rich folk activities I visualise Birkins, lavish holidays and casual dinners at Nobu.
But what I didn’t realise is that some rich people are so wealthy they can cop new clothing every week instead of reusing what they have in their wardrobe. Wild, right? Especially with the conversations surrounding quick fashion and Sh*in.
Anyway, what I am getting at is that Channing Tatum — AKA everyone’s man crush Monday — has recently admitted that for one whole year, he bought new white shirts to avoid doing the laundry. That is truly rich folk activities, my friends.
The admission was brought up during an episode of GQ’s “10 Essentials”, after he revealed that he cannot live without a white t-shirt.
“I hate doing laundry,” Tatum began.
“Like I hate it more than I can possibly say. I had one year that I called ‘The Year Of The Fresh White Tee.’ And I don’t think I did laundry all year that year.
“I just wore white t-shirts that I just bought.”
To give you the logistics on how ‘The Year Of The Fresh White Tee’ worked, Tatum shared that he would buy a shirt, look at it, and go “I can get two wears out of this week”.
The laundry-free year reportedly took place in 1999 or 2000.
As someone who’s battling it out here with cozzie livs, it’s such a funny yet weird concept to buy new shirts rather than sucking it up and cleaning them.
But I guess, that’s just rich folk problems, amirite?
Tatum has been on the tip of everyone’s tongue recently due to his stellar performance as Gambit in the new Deadpool and Wolverine flick.
His portrayal of the character was so well received that it was quickly turned into a cheeky TikTok meme template.
Blink Twice is a thriller flick where a billionaire (Tatum) invites a cocktail waitress to his private island. Although a private island getaway packed with great hunks of spunk sounds luxe, things begin to get a bit spooky for our vacationers.
And no, the spooky twist is not a pile of Tatum’s neglected white tees.
