For Her Sins is the brand new drama from Channel 5. The new series kicked off on the channel on Monday, June 5 and has aired at 9pm every day this week, ending on Thursday, June 8.
The psychological thriller follows a woman who, on the surface, has it all. But with the pressures of modern life and a new friend secretly determined to create chaos, her world is set spiralling. Jo Joyner (EastEnders, Stay Close, Ackley Bridge, Shakespeare & Hathaway) plays Laura, while Oscar-winner Rachel Shenton (All Creatures Great and Small, White Gold) takes on the role of Emily.
A synopsis reads: "Laura Conroy is a woman who has it all – a loving husband, two beautiful children and a successful career as a lawyer. But like most people, there are cracks in her perfect veneer. Cracks that Emily Furness, a charismatic stranger, is hell bent on exploiting.

When Laura meets charming newcomer Emily in the school playground, they become fast friends. Laura’s husband Rob often works abroad, leaving a stressed Laura to deal with the children alone while juggling returning to work after the birth of their son. The beguiling, ever-helpful Emily is a real saviour in Laura’s eyes. However, all is not what it seems...
Laura is unwittingly led down an increasingly dangerous path as Emily sets about infiltrating her life and poisoning it from the inside. And she’s persuaded a journalist to help her take Laura down too. But why? Unbeknownst to Laura, these two women are bound by a shared secret, one Laura has tried to keep buried. But nothing stays a secret forever and Emily is here to make sure this one is exposed, no matter the price."

Duncan Pow plays Rob Conroy – Laura’s husband, Rob, is the CEO of a budding tech start-up. Rob is a kind man who loves his wife and two young kids. Scottish actor Duncan is known for Dream Team as well as Star Wars film Rogue One and Disney+ series, Andor.
Ann Mitchell plays Maggie – Laura’s mother, Maggie, is a Managing Partner at a law firm. A single mother, Maggie wasn’t willing to compromise her career when she had Laura, so she raised her single-handed while working full-time. Actress Ann is known for playing Cora Cross in EastEnders, the mother of Jo Joyner's Tanya Branning.
Ansu Kabia plays Tom – Lawyer Tom is Laura’s colleague and old flame. Tom is the classic successful bachelor - smart, charming, great at his job and very comfortable with his single lifestyle. Stage actor Ansu has also been on TV show Miss Scarlet & the Duke.
