Channel 4's 24 Hours in A&E: Man with one of highest heart rates ever seen to feature in episode 2

A man with one of the highest heart rates ever seen at Queen's Medical Centre's A&E will feature in the second episode of 24 Hours In A&E. The episode, set to air on Channel 4 on Tuesday, January 10, is entitled 'Husbands and Wives' and focusses on three wives and their relationships with their husbands.

This includes one who is acting as a carer, a couple's journey in dealing with their child's deafness, and a hospital receptionist coming to terms with her husband's cancer diagnosis. It is the second of 24 episode to come from the filming at the Nottingham hospital - the first of the programme's series to be set outside of London.

An eventful first episode brought viewers to tears and left others feeling sick. Episode two introduces viewers to 58-year-old Keith, who arrives in resus with one of the fastest heart rates staff have ever seen.

She recalls the difficult news of finding out her husband was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer. Meanwhile, 74-year-old Mick is rushed to QMC with suspected sepsis.

His wife describes what it is like to be his full-time carer. Watch 24 Hours in A&E on Channel 4 at 9pm on Tuesday, January 10.
