Scottish duo Roisin and Joe graced our screens for the first time, providing a much-needed shake-up to the cast, reports the MEN.
Episode two of the nineteenth series saw the various sets of friends and family react to TV programmes such as Love Is Blind, Starstruck, Cheaters and Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted.
Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad and Teen First Dates were also put on the box.
However, as Roisin and Joe were shown voicing their opinions and discussing their approach to setting alarms, Twitter was sent into a frenzy.
A number of viewers commented on the pair's thick Glaswegian accents, with many calling for subtitles.
Paul Gibbons tweeted: "Not being mean but I didn’t understand a single word of that #Gogglebox"
Sam. added: "Channel 4 we need subtitles for the family from Glasgow please."
@Steveinstow agreed, saying: "Need subtitles for the new couple, didn't understand a word of that."
Another user, @engteachervng, tweeted: "Just came for the 'Scottish couple needing subtitles' comments."

However, user @951Lans pointed out: "People tweeting that they need subtitles for the Glasgow couple, you do realise there is already an option on your TV. Just turn it on and get over it."
Others were more supportive, however, with many praising the representation of Scotland in the show.
@ADADAPPADAN tweeted: "Proper Scottish lass, got the Irn-Bru, there!"
Eloise Armstrong (@elliearmstrong) added: "So glad to finally have a Scottish family on #Gogglebox - and Glasgow representing! #roisinandjoe - love it."
