House hunters on today's A Place in the Sun seemed to want to find a home to please their dog more than themselves.
Property expert Lee Juggurnauth jetted off to Spain’s Almeria Coast to help house hunters Brian and Lorna find the perfect holiday home. With a budget of £150,000 the couple hoped for a three-bedroom property with a garden. They also asked for a traditional property and noted a pool would be an added bonus.
The keen lawn bowlers planned to bring their pet dog, border collie Angus, with them, so outside space was key. While their four-legged family member wasn't on the trip with them they still highly considered what he would think of each property.

The search didn't get off to a great start with the first three properties as Lee showed the couple a three-bed villa in Mojacar, a three-bed duplex in Vera and a three-bed house in San Juan. At each property the buyers said there was one family member who wouldn't be happy with the homes - their dog.
In the first home, Lorna said: "It’s maybe just on the small size for a mad collie. All the rooms are good sizes and there’s plenty of storage." Lee wasn't pleased as he warned: "For your budget this is as good as it gets."
Lorna continuously said the properties weren't big enough or Angus "wouldn't like it", forcing Lee to essentially find a home based on their dog's needs rather than their own. When the group headed to the next property, Lee said: "Finding a dog friendly property could be the key to getting a sale at the end of the day."
Luckily for Lee he managed to do just that. His final property ticked all of the couple’s boxes as it was a spacious property with a wraparound garden and private pool. Brian and Lorna had an offer of £155,000 in cash accepted by the owner.
