CHANDIGARH: A local court on Tuesday sentenced a man to 20-year jail term and fined him Rs 1.10 lakh for raping a 11-year-old girl in June 2019.
The girl had alleged the accused had threatened to kill her if she told to anybody about the rape. Later, she called the child helpline and informed them.
(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
