The Championship season is over, with just the play-offs to be sorted.
Burnley and Sheffield United have returned to the Premier League, both being worthy automatic promotion candidates with their squads blessed with top-flight quality.
The Clarets go up as champions and have been boosted by the news boss Vincent Kompany has signed a new deal with the club, allaying fears he could move to Tottenham.
As for who will be joining them and the Blades at the top table of British football next term, Luton Town and Middlesbrough had already booked their places in the play-offs, finishing third and fourth respectively.
Five teams were battling it out for the final two spots, with Coventry City and Millwall in the boxseats ahead of Sunderland, West Brom and Blackburn Rovers heading into the final 90 minutes of the season.
And it was the Sky Blues and Black Cats who narrowly booked their places in the top six on Monday afternoon.
