The next two weeks represent an important and busy time for the football industry as it's the key gap in the calendar where plans need to be executed in terms of acquiring free agents.
That's not to say all players will make their decision but with holidays having been taken upon the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign and personal matters to then be decided, most individuals will want their immediate futures sorted by the time early June is upon us, with pre-season then not too far away.
With Championship clubs once again dealing with limited transfer resources, the free agent market is a key arena to try and strengthen a squad with relatively minimal financial outlay in terms of fees, however the knock-on effect is often that in-demand players can then drive wage expectations up.
Bristol City are very much active and although Nigel Pearson has neglected to mention this year how many players he wishes to acquire, the Robins are expected to be make multiple additions, particularly in defensive areas.
