Celtics reportedly ‘not involved’ in Jae Crowder trade talks

If ever there was any interest in bringing back former Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder, recent reporting from Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer suggests that for the moment, the Celtics reuniting with their onetime starting swingman is not in the proverbial cards.

Per Fischer, despite a potential need for the team for additional forward depth and the Suns veteran’s active status as a potential player to be dealt by Phoenix, the Celtics ” aren’t involved in Crowder’s trade situation”. The Marquette product previously played for Boston after being dealt to the Celtics in the 2014-15 NBA season, with a tenure than lasted until the 2017 offseason, when he was dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of the package that brought point guard Kyrie Irving to the team.

Crowder averaged 12.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while with the Celtics.
