In the wake of the Boston Celtics’ recent blowout loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, not everything is awry for the team’s fans. At least for now, Boston remains on top of Bleacher Report’s weekly power rankings. While that drubbing might be reflected in the assessment of next week’s rankings, for now, Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey writes that the Celtics “are a full-fledged juggernaut” and “almost a full two points clear of the second-place Oklahoma City Thunder in net rating.”
“They’re second in the league in both offensive and defensive rating,” adds Bailey. “And seemingly any combination of their top eight guys is dominant.”
“When at least two of Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, Payton Pritchard or Sam Hauser are on the floor, Boston is plus-10.0 points per 100 possessions,” notes the B/R NBA analyst.

Currently ahead of the Clips in this week’s ratings, it would not be outrageous for their respective positions in next week’s to flip-flop.
