Boston Celtics 2022 training camp invitee Jake Layman has found a home for the 2022-23 season. HoopsHype’s Alberto De Roa reported the Maryland alumnus signed with Spain’s Bàsquet Manresa, S.A.D. of the Liga ACB and Basketball Champions Leagues.
Located in the Spanish city of the same name, the team has a history of signing NBA-level players. Serge Ibaka, Derrick Alston and Hall of Famer George Gervin are among those who have donned the uniform in what is considered the highest level of play in Spain and among the best in Europe’s national leagues.
The Layman era with the Celtics was a short one. The Norwood, Massachusetts, native played in two preseason contests.
The Fenway Sports Group is reportedly selling Liverpool FC, and Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca may be a name to keep an eye on. https://t.co/FpQYPRN9tC

Over that stretch, Layman logged 4 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assists per game while shooting a forgettable 28.6% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc.
