Celtic Kyogo Furuhashi transfer price tag ‘revealed’ as Man City consider bid

Celtic will demand at least £20m to sell Kyogo Furuhashi to Manchester City, according to a report.

The Premier League club are thought to be considering a transfer swoop for the Japan striker after Julian Alvarez moved to Atletico Madrid.

But any deal will have to topple £20m for Celtic to sanction the transfer, according to the Daily Mail

The outlet reports Celtic would be ‘unlikely to block’ a transfer if a £20m fee is offered for the striker.  Kyogo still has three years left on his Celtic contract and there is no need for the striker to be sold.

Brendan Rodgers recently signed Adam Idah on a permanent deal after a loan spell in Glasgow from Norwich - with Daizen Maeda having deputised as a central striker in the win over Hibs last weekend.

Kyogo missed the match as a precaution after suffering a shoulder  injury in league action.

On Kyogo’s omission, Rodgers commented: “Clearly, the shoulder that he got injured last weekend,” the Hoops manager told BBC Scotland.

"He doesn't feel 100 per cent but normally he is okay to go again.

"This is a problem that he has had or managed from away back in Japan, not just here.

"It's something that we felt we didn't need to take the risk with it this weekend.

"He has been fantastic for us all the way through pre-season, done very well and for this one here - especially now having Adam Idah back, who is not quite there in terms of fitness or where we'd want him to be but he is certainly going to be an option for us.

"That allows us then to recover Kyogo.

"It can be [fixed] if he has an operation but that will be down to him.

"He clearly hasn't wanted that for a number of years.”

Meanwhile, Matt O’Riley has been tipped to leave Celtic for Brighton in a record-breaking deal.

The midfielder has been at the centre of transfer speculation all summer with bids from Atalanta thrown out by club chiefs.

However, Brighton are leading the race to sign O’Riley with a £25m upfront fee expected with Celtic also to receive a 10 percent sell-on fee
