Scott Brown is ready to offer Mikey Devlin the chance to win a deal at Fleetwood Town with the Scotland international beginning pre-season with the English League One side.
The former Celtic skipper knows the defender well from their shared time at Aberdeen and wants the stopper to prove his fitness after a nightmare run of injuries. His last top team appearance was in 2020 due to his continued battle for full fitness.
The 28-year-old was handed fresh terms by the Dons as he bid to make a full recovery but suffered a couple of setbacks during that period and didn't make a single appearance for the Reds last season. He agreed to terminate his contract at the club at the end of the season and is now hoping for a fresh start and for the luck he needs to get his career back on track.
