Rangers and Celtic have both had league games rescheduled after booking a Viaplay Cup final date.
The Hoops beat Kilmarnock 2-0 to reach a second successive league cup final, while Rangers came from behind to beat Aberdeen the following day to set up the Old Firm encounter on Sunday 26 February. That’s had knock-on effect on both clubs’ league schedule, however. Michael Beale was set to take his team to face struggling Hibs at Easter Road on Saturday, 25 February. That’s now been pushed back ten days, and the Light Blues will now head to the capital on Wednesday 8 March to take on the Hibees.
As one half of Glasgow travels to the capital, the maroon half of Edinburgh will go in the opposite direction with Hearts taking on Celtic. That has also been pushed back to Wednesday 8 March, with the Jambos now having a free week along with their city rivals on cup final weekend.
