Céline Boutier Leads Women's Golf Tournament In Paris

CELINE BOUTIER playing golf

French golfer Céline Boutier has taken an early lead in the women's golf tournament in Paris after an impressive first round performance. Boutier showcased her skills by shooting a remarkable seven-under-par 65, which included eight birdies and just one bogey. This stellar performance has given her a three-shot lead over her closest competitor.

Currently in second place is South Africa's Ashleigh Buhai, who finished the first round with a solid four-under-par 68. Following closely behind are four golfers - Gaby López, Morgane Metraux, Mariajo Uribe, and Lilia Vu - all tied for third place at two under par.

The challenging conditions at Le Golf National made scoring under par a difficult feat, with only 12 players out of the 60-strong field managing to do so. Even the World No. 1 and defending champion, Nelly Korda, had a tough day on the course, finishing the round at an even par.

As the tournament progresses, all eyes will be on Céline Boutier as she aims to maintain her lead and secure a victory on home soil. With strong competition from players like Ashleigh Buhai and the closely trailing pack, the upcoming rounds promise to deliver exciting golf action in Paris.
