A luxury 24K gold steak meal kit is coming to Edinburgh this summer and marketing itself as an "affordable" alternative to celebrity touted restaurant experiences.
The kit designed and sold by Haar At Home founder Dean Banks will include a 1KG gold leaf covered tomahawk steak, seaweed roasted potatoes, green beans with crispy shallots and soy lime dressing, truffle jus and two dark chocolate fondants with dulce de leche and crème fraiche.
Banks claimed a gold-plated steak can cost up to £ 1500 in some restaurants. Charging £ 150 per meal kit, Banks is giving the public a chance to sample the ultimate high roller dish at home for a fraction of the price.
