Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb didn’t seem too content during Dallas’s blowout loss to the 49ers on Sunday night.
Lamb was visibly frustrated on the field during the 42-10 defeat, prompting head coach Mike McCarthy to praise the wide receiver’s body language when speaking to reporters on Monday.
The Cowboys’ top wide receiver was targeted just five times during the loss to San Francisco, making four catches for 49 yards. He could be seen reacting in dismay on the field after Dak Prescott threw interceptions on three consecutive drives.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb's frustration could be felt Sunday on field and sideline. On the offense's identity: "I don't know." On whether he should after five games: "I guess so. I don't know." Players process 42-10 loss to 49ers: https://t.co/owAESHhd5K pic.twitter.com/eo94rONUGa

That type of body language didn’t bother McCarthy, who told reporters he encouraged team leaders such as Lamb to display their frustrations.
“I had a great visit with CeeDee [Lamb] today. If he’s not pissed off for not getting the ball, then I’m pissed off at him for not being pissed off. He’s an impact player,” said McCarthy of Lamb’s gestures during Sunday night’s loss, via Michael Gelhken of the Dallas Morning News.
My biggest takeaway from this game is just how frustrated CeeDee Lamb is right now, and I don't think anyone blames him for that frustration.

Sunday’s game was the second time this season the 24-year-old has been targeted five or fewer times. But McCarthy indicated that Lamb's displays of frustration were a positive and that he should be angry after a quiet night during a blowout loss.
