CCTV images released of woman wanted in connection with early-morning street attack in Edinburgh

Police have released CCTV images of a wanted woman after an early-morning street attack in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to the assault on Leith Walk at 3.30am on Saturday, November 19.

An investigation was launched into the incident, with police now releasing images of a woman they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The woman is described as being in her mid to late 20s, white, between 5ft 4in and 5ft 6in, of a medium build, with long, blonde, shoulder length hair.

At the time of the attack, she was wearing a beige/cream shirt-dress, white boots and a black handbag.

Detective Constable Neill Watt said: "Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing and we would urge the woman or anyone who recognises her, or anyone with any other information to please get in touch.

"You can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 0570 of 19 November, 2022, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
