Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a serious assault in North Ayrshire.
The attack took place around 6.50pm on Sunday, May, 28 2023 in the Greenock Road area of Largs.
A 36-year-old man was then taken to the Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock for treatment.
The man police would like to speak to is described as white, around 6ft in height and of medium build. He has short dark hair and was wearing beige cargo shorts, a black t-shirt, a black gilet and dark Adidas trainers.
He was also with a white and brown collie breed dog.
Detective Constable John Cuthbert said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of this attack and we are appealing to anyone who may have been in this area at the time and may have witnessed this incident.
"I would urge anyone with information about this incident or the suspect to please contact police.”
Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image or has any information into the incident should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3270 of May 28, 2023.
