CCTV images have been released as police look to trace two people wanted in connection with an assault on the Metro in Gateshead.
Officers investigating an assault at Felling Metro Station have now identified a man and a woman who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which saw a man punched in the head and face.
An investigation has been launched into the incident which happened at about 6.30pm on Monday, July 18.

It was reported that a man and woman approached the male victim on the platform and punched him in the head and face. The offenders then got on a Metro train and left the scene.
An investigation was immediately launched into the assault, and now police have identified two people they would like to trace.
Officers have now released three CCTV photographs of two people they wish to identify in connection with the incident.
They were at the station at the time and could have information that could assist the investigation.
