Former NFL quarterback-turned-CBS analyst Tony Romo predicted one of the Jets’ plays nearly perfectly Sunday during the team’s 30–0 loss to the Dolphins.
After New York fell behind 7–0 to Miami in the first quarter, Romo apparently believed Jets coach Robert Saleh had some trickery in store or the Dolphins. Indeed, Romo shared his hunch when the Jets lined up to punt on fourth-and-4 from their own 42-yard line midway through the first quarter.
“You gotta be prepared for the fakes today, maybe not on this one, but today against this team,” Romo said.
As he finished the sentence, the Jets faked a punt. Jim Nantz was shocked and said “Oh, Tony!” as the play ensued.

Unfortunately for the Jets, the Dolphins were prepared to stop the play and stuffed Ashtyn Davis for a one-year loss.
The 5–9 Jets were eliminated from playoff contention after the loss. It was the first time they were shut out this season.
