Catherine Zeta-Jones has thrown more Hollywood support behind the Welsh football team as they kick off their first World Cup journey in 64 years against the USA. Team Cymru are facing the US in the group stages and President Biden has already described his country's side as the 'underdogs ', giving a backhanded compliment to the men in red, while Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have also thrown their support behind Wales.

Now Mumbles-born Catherine has added to the voices of support, saying her whole family is supporting Wales in Qatar - apart from husband, Michael Douglas. She wrote on Instagram: "Wales! Wales! Wales! Tonight my family (except my husband) will be supporting Wales when they play USA at the World Cup! Go boys!!!!!! My brother is there for extra support! Oh, it’s a beautiful game! Good luck!!"
Alongside the good luck message to Rob Page's men, the Wednesday and National Treasure star posted a picture of her brother, Lyndon, in full Welsh bucket hat and shirt attire out in Qatar.
Earlier this week Catherine and husband Michael celebrated their wedding anniversary, paying tribute to her “sweetheart” to mark their 22nd wedding anniversary. The Welsh actress, 53, shared a candid photo of her kissing the US actor and producer, 78, on Instagram to celebrate the occasion.
In the post, where Zeta-Jones dons a summer hat and Douglas appears shirtless, she wrote: “22 years and one day! It’s in the fine details.. love you sweetheart. Happy Anniversary”.
