Castle an hour from Edinburgh transformed into thrilling dinosaur park this summer

Little dinosaur fans can walk among towering Tyrannosaurus Rex and Stegosaurus this summer as the grounds of a castle just an hour from the capital play host to a thrilling pre-historic world of interactive fun for all the family this summer.

The stately Floors Castle will transport people back to prehistoric times introducing them to the likes of Triceratops, and Megalosaurus as well as some adorable Dino Babies, during an epic immersive experience on June 3.

The one-day spectacular, Dino-Floors, promises "roar-some fun" for adults and children alike, as they walk among the creatures who last stalked the earth more than 60 million years ago.

The event includes interactive, educational and musical entertainment shows, selfie photo opportunities with the dinos and meet and greet walkabouts offering the chance to get up close and personal with the Jurassic giants.

There will be three Dino Shows, including How To Train Your Dinosaur and The Fabulous Dr Fossil Show, plus a Jurassic playground, winged pterosaur, dressing up opportunity, sit-on statues, hatching eggs and more.

Recommended for children three and up, the event takes place in the Walled Garden at Floors Castle, Roxburghe Estates, Kelso, and is recommended for children aged three and up.

Floors Castle has worked with the local charity Meeting of Minds, to ensure children with special needs can also get involved during a limited-capacity session prior to the main event.

It will enable them to have a special show with the baby dinosaurs when they’ll be able to see, touch and feel the baby dinosaurs in a controlled environment, without sensory overload.

Tickets are on sale now from the website with admission for this special session priced at £7 with £2 going to Meeting of Minds,

The main event will run from 10 am to 5 pm, with standard entry tickets priced at £20 per person (adults and children) with free entry for babies under one year.
