Carryduff chemical spill warning as PSNI advise motorists to avoid area

Motorists have been warned to avoid a Co Down car park this morning following reports of a chemical spill in the area.

Police have urged motorists to avoid the car park on Church Road in Carryduff due to a chemical spill.

Officers have also warned residents living nearby to keep their windows and doors closed due to the ongoing incident.

A PSNI spokesperson said "Motorists are advised to avoid the car park on Church Road in Carryduff due to a chemical spill in the area. Local residents are also advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution."

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service are also in attendance at the scene.
