This year has seen a multitude of fantastic Halloween costumes. From Paige Thorne's sexy Army-themed look to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby's tribute to the Addams Family, there have been some truly spooktacular outfits in 2022. And former Countdown star Carol Vorderman is no exception.
Carol was a guest on ITV's This Morning on Monday, October 31 and while the others joined the hosts as members of the infamous Addams Family, the Welsh presenter appeared to not have got the memo and dressed as the female version of the world's most evil sorcerer Lord Voldemort instead. In an outfit from ASOS and Ego, 61-year-old Carol's Harry Potter-inspired look certainly got people talking.
Calling herself Lady Vordermort - a play on both their names - on her Instagram Stories clip and shouting phrases such as "Harry Potter is Dead!" and "AVADA KEDAVRA!", Carol truly embodied the iconic villain in tribute to Ralph Fiennes' portrayal in the film franchise.
But when she appeared on the TV set saying she was "Lady Carol Vordermort" Phillip told her: "But the theme today is the Addams family..."
After an awkward silence, Carol quipped: "Oh... Addams Family. Oh yeah, yeah okay, right well in which case I will just nip off to Loose Women. Nice to see you."
After posting a short clip to her Instagram, Carol received numerous comments. One simply said: "It was supposed to be the Addams family not Harry Potter," with a laughing emoji. Another wrote: "Looking hot Carol," accompanied by a flame emoji. In a similar vein, a third referenced Hocus Pocus and said: "U certainly put a spell on me lol"
A fourth commented: "Scary beauty," clearly both terrified and intrigued by her outfit. Another fan penned: "You look amazing @carolvorders Happy Halloween beautiful lady."
